The amount of growth I’ve experienced here at Krautman Kicking is surreal! My kickoffs have improved from about 45 yards to about 65 yards, all thanks to everyone at Krautman Kicking. The overall energy is incredible, and everyone here is so supportive. I truly believe this is one of the best kicking training programs in the country!

We’re grateful for the impact Krautman Kicking has had on our son, Nico Duarte (St. Peter’s Prep NJ, Class of 2023), a kicker/punter who has continued his college career from Sacred Heart to Utica University.

Through Coach Krautman’s training, we saw tremendous growth in Nico’s consistency, confidence, and overall technique. What stood out most was the personal attention, honest feedback, and the way the program builds not just stronger specialists, but disciplined and mentally tough athletes as well.

Krautman Kicking played an important role in helping prepare Nico for the next level, and we truly appreciate the guidance and support along the way.

Coach Ricky helped my son grow from a scrawny little 7th-grade former soccer goalie into an FBS Division 1 college K/P. From the basics to critical technique and drills, high-pressure kicking situations, cheering on the sidelines, and social media exposure — you get it all from Coach Ricky.

With today’s college football recruitment becoming more difficult than ever for high school K/Ps, it is important to be invaluable. Coach Ricky makes sure you understand all aspects of the operation — the snap, the hold, the kick, and the punt.

He is not only my son’s OG kicking coach, but also a mentor and someone he still goes to for advice to this day.

From day one, Ricky saw potential, and more importantly, he knew exactly how to develop it. His energy is infectious, and his passion for the craft of kicking and punting — and for mentoring young athletes — is truly unmatched. Rick doesn’t just run training sessions; he creates a fun environment that challenges athletes to raise their standards, believe in themselves, and take ownership of their development.

Through consistent technical training, mentorship, and honest feedback, Rick helped shape our son into a confident, disciplined, and highly skilled specialist. What began as a bold transition quickly became a focused pursuit of excellence. Over three years, we watched our son grow not only in leg strength and mechanics, but also in composure, football IQ, resilience, and self-belief.

As a senior at Passaic County Technical Institute, he became a successfully recruited kicker and punter, achieving his goal of becoming a college football player. That journey would not have been possible without Rick’s guidance, leadership, and unwavering commitment.

Krautman Kicking provides far more than lessons — it builds specialists with confidence, discipline, and a clear path forward. We are incredibly grateful for Rick’s investment in our son’s future and highly recommend him to any athlete serious about reaching the next level.

There are so many positive things I would like to share, as a parent, about how impressed I was with Coach Krautman right from the very beginning when he met my son — especially when he emphasized that my son needed to be a good student in school first and foremost; otherwise, his athletic accomplishments would not be fruitful. That impressed me more than anything.

It spoke to me as a parent that this man was not just looking to have another student to coach, but that he genuinely wanted to make sure my son understood what it was going to take to be successful at the next level after high school.

I’ve been to different camps for my son, and they all seemed very focused on how many kids they could bring in rather than actually spending time with them as individuals to help them improve. Coach Krautman never approached my son’s journey in that way. He has always been focused on helping my son become better on every level possible.

Coach Krautman offers one-on-one sessions, but even in a group setting, he is highly engaged with each athlete individually to help them succeed.

When we first met Coach Krautman, my son had a big leg. He could kick the ball 35–40 yards, but he was very erratic. As the kicker for his high school team — even as a sophomore — he accomplished nearly 100% accuracy on extra points during games, thanks to Coach Krautman’s tutelage.

My son has experienced significant growth because of Coach Krautman. Just recently, during an indoor session over winter break, my son achieved one of his biggest accomplishments: hitting a 50-yard field goal off the ground without using a block. It was a beautiful moment to witness, and it was recorded and shared by his coach.

I have nothing but high praise for Coach Krautman in the way he engages all of his students. I continue to look forward to bigger and better things as my son approaches his senior year of high school and, hopefully, moves on to a great college opportunity.

Thank you so much, Coach Krautman.

I am Anthony Inglima, father of Lucas Inglima, who is a rising kicking star and, by the way, received First Team All-Honors as a kicker as a sophomore in high school.

My son Josh has been working with Coach Ricky Krautman since May of 2022, when he was in 7th grade. Josh’s journey with Krautman Kicking started with the simple idea of learning proper form to become a better kicker and punter. Coach Ricky’s passion, teaching skills, and confidence in Josh pushed him to take up kicking and punting full-time.

Now, in his junior year of high school, Josh is starting to receive looks from Division I colleges thanks to the coaching, tutelage, guidance, and support from Coach Ricky Krautman.

Coach Ricky truly loves to coach. He will put in any amount of time needed for his students in every way — whether that means extra time on the field, calls or messages to discuss gameplay, putting together plans for the season, or even helping with the recruiting process.

Joe Fragale

My son, Joe Fragale (Starting Punter, University of New Haven, CT), has been training with Krautman Kicking since high school. I’ve seen him go from a high school kicker with little field time to a DIII starter for two years, and then to a D1 starting punter.

Working with Krautman Kicking has been a great experience. Joe has developed his technique and understanding of the mechanics of kicking and punting to a level I couldn’t have imagined, and I’ve seen his confidence in his craft — and in himself — skyrocket over the years.

Joe is going into his senior year at the University of New Haven, and while he still trains with Ricky, he also works as a coach with Krautman Kicking. We are very glad to be part of the Krautman Kicking family!
